Owner Operator Truck Driver

Job Summary

We are currently looking for full-time Class A CDL owner operator truck drivers to drive tractor/trailers to and from long distance destinations. If you're looking for a new opportunity that offers great pay and benefits, this is the opportunity for you!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Operate a semi-tractor trailer (single, double, or triple trailer combination) in various driving environments and weather conditions.
  • Drive for extended periods of time.
  • Maintain truck electronic logging device (ELD) logs according to state and federal regulations.
  • Complete pre and post trip inspections on vehicles/equipment.
  • Maintain inside and outside equipment appearance and cleanliness.

Minimum Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL).
  • Class A CDL driving experience preferred.
  • A safe driving record per MVR.
  • Read, write and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway and traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquires, read a bill of lading.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Operate light, medium, and heavy equipment.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Read, interpret and follow documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions/manuals, and procedure manuals.
  • Read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Reliable, dependable, and reports for work on consistent basis.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the essential duties of this position, the individual is regularly required to climb, lift, balance, walk, stoop, twist, and kneel; considerable use of the arms and legs, including use of hands.
  • The individual will regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds or more.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include near, far, corrected, color, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular exposure to weather conditions, heat, cold, noise, dust, odors, fumes, and mechanical and electrical hazards.
  • Work may be performed near moving mechanical parts, in elevated dangerous conditions, and outdoors.
  • Must be available for emergency call, shift work, and mandatory overtime.
